Job Position: Accountant Job Locations: Ado-Ekiti – Ekiti (Head Office), Onitsha – Anambra, and Ipaja – Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a competent, detail-oriented, and highly organized Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, transactions, reporting, and accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring income and expenses, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that accounting procedures and financial controls are properly followed. Job Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries. Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and other financial transactions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, supplier accounts, and other ledger accounts. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable. Track customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances when required. Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other accounting documents. Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation and authorization. Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning. Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records. Assist with payroll preparation and other financial obligations. Support the preparation of information required for audits. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and financial regulations. Identify accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, and potential financial risks. Maintain confidentiality of company financial information. Work closely with management and other departments to provide accurate financial information for decision-making. Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years’ core accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Good knowledge of account reconciliation, bookkeeping, payables, receivables, and cash management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. ICAN certification or professional qualification is an added advantage. Experience: in the building materials, trading, distribution, or haulage industry will be an added advantage. Must be willing to relocate to the assigned work location where applicable.
