We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title : Grants and Fundraising Intern Location : Lagos, Nigeria Work mode: Hybrid Contract Type: Internship, 6 months Reports to: Senior Programme Manager Working Hours: 20 hours per week (flexibility required based on organisational needs) Summary The Grants Intern will play a critical role in identifying and securing funding opportunities that aligns with strategic objectives of SustyVibes. He or She would assist in researching and developing grant proposals, maintaining a database of potential grant opportunities, and collaborate with team members to gather project information and supporting documents. The Grants and Fundraising Intern will support the Programme Team in driving grants acquisition and project development initiatives at SustyVibes. The Programme Management team is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects that advance SustyVibes’ mission of making sustainability accessible through education: and advocacy. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience: in grant writing, research, and project development. It also provides the chance to work alongside the dynamic and passionate SustyVibes team, dedicated to advancing sustainability advocacy and driving impactful change across the country. Key Responsibilities: Grant Research and Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive database of potential funding sources, including deadlines and requirements. Research and identify grant opportunities that align with SustyVibes’ mission. Proposal Development: Collaborate with team members to gather project details, budgets, and supporting documentation for timely grant submission. Assist in drafting grant proposals and applications, ensuring alignment with donor guidelines. Project Design and Development: Contribute to the design and development of new projects by defining objectives, activities, and timelines. Research and compile data to support project development and proposal writing. Donor Relations and Communication: Support in maintaining communication with existing donors by providing updates on project progress and outcomes. Partnership and Networking: Attend relevant information sessions, networking events, or webinars to represent SustyVibes and identify potential partners or funders. Assist in building partnerships with organizations for joint grant applications or collaborative projects. Requirements: Educational Background: Studies related to humanities or social sciences, and/or other relevant fields Skills and Experience: Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint andExcel) Knowledge of donor/institutional funding mechanism Proven experience: of copy-writing and editing articles, reports and presentations Excellent written and spoken English. Good working level in French is an advantage.
