We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: In-House-Accountant Location: Maryland, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Description The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial health through effective planning, compliance, and control processes. Key Responsibilities: Manage PAYE (Pay As You Earn) and ensure proper remittance to relevant authorities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date company financial records. Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank and ledger reconciliation. Conduct financial forecasting and provide insights for strategic decision-making. Support internal controls and assist in audit processes. Review and clean financial data (account scrubbing) to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned. Prepare, process, and manage payroll, ensuring timely salary payments and correct statutory deductions. Prepare financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Develop and monitor budgets to support organizational financial planning. Handle taxation processes, including preparation and filing of tax returns in compliance with regulations. Qualifications and Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Good organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
