We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: Offshore Pipeline Engineer Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Contract Role Summary The Offshore Pipeline Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, installation, integrity management, and operational support of offshore pipelines and subsea transportation systems. The role ensures that pipeline projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop offshore pipeline systems for oil, gas, water, and multiphase transportation. Perform pipeline engineering analyses including routing, wall thickness design, stability, stress, expansion, and free-span assessments. Support offshore pipeline installation activities, including laying, trenching, tie-ins, commissioning, and pre-commissioning operations. Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and procurement documents. Conduct pipeline integrity assessments and provide recommendations for maintenance, repair, and life extension. Interface with multidisciplinary teams including subsea, structural, process, marine, construction, and operations personnel. Participate in risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP studies, constructability reviews, and technical assurance activities. Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards such as DNV, API, ASME, and relevant regulatory requirements. Provide technical support during project execution, offshore operations, and troubleshooting activities. Monitor contractor performance and review engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance. Typical Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, Structural, or Petroleum Engineering. Over 15 years of experience: in offshore pipeline engineering, subsea projects, or offshore construction activities. Professional engineering certification is an advantage. Familiarity with DNV, API, ASME, and offshore industry best practices. Required Competencies: Strong knowledge of offshore pipeline design and installation methodologies. Understanding of subsea engineering principles and offshore construction practices. Familiarity with pipeline analysis software and engineering tools. Knowledge of pipeline integrity management and corrosion control. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills. Effective stakeholder management and teamwork capabilities. Commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
