KNCV is an international center of expertise for TB control that promotes effective, efficient, innovative and sustainable TB control strategies in a national and international context. We are an organization of passionate TB professionals, including doctors, researchers, training experts, nurses and epidemiologists. We aim to stop the spread of the worldwide epidemic of TB and to prevent the further spread of drug-resistant TB. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Director, Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Locations : Abuja, Nigeria Job Type: Full-time Purpose of the Job Hierarchically, The Director of Strategic Partnership and Resource Mobilization reports to the Executive Director The Director will diversify KNCV Nigeria's funding base beyond traditional donor grants, strengthen domestic and international partnerships, identify new funding and revenue opportunities, and position the organization as a leading African institution for health systems strengthening, implementation science, digital health, and AI-enabled innovations. To lead KNCV Nigeria's institutional growth and long-term sustainability by developing and implementing a comprehensive resource mobilization, strategic partnerships, and business development strategy. Core Terms of Reference Resource Mobilization Strategy: Diversify funding sources, including bilateral and multilateral agencies, philanthropic foundations, private sector partners, impact investors, and domestic financing mechanisms. Build and manage a multi-year funding pipeline aligned with organizational priorities. Develop and implement KNCV Nigeria's Resource Mobilization and Sustainability Strategy. Business Development: Improve proposal quality and institutional win rates. Coordinate the preparation of high-quality concept notes, grant proposals, and competitive bids. Develop and lead consortium-building efforts for strategic funding opportunities. Lead the identification and pursuit of funding opportunities. Strategic Partnerships: Expand KNCV Nigeria's national, regional, and global collaboration network. Negotiate and oversee institutional partnerships and memoranda of understanding. Establish and manage strategic relationships with governments, development partners, academia, research institutions, private sector organizations, and technology companies. Institutional Sustainability: Support transition planning for donor-funded programs toward sustainable financing. Identify and develop new business and revenue-generation opportunities, including consulting, implementation science, digital health solutions, training, and technical assistance. Promote domestic resource mobilization and government contracting opportunities. Donor and External Engagement: Serve as KNCV Nigeria's focal point for donor engagement and strategic positioning. Strengthen KNCV Nigeria's visibility through strategic communications and thought leadership. Represent the organization at donor consultations, investment forums, and strategic meetings. Market Intelligence: Maintain an institutional funding opportunity tracker and provide regular intelligence to senior management. Monitor emerging trends in global health financing, AI, digital health, and implementation science. Identify new strategic opportunities before formal funding calls are released. Knowledge and Proposal Management: Coordinate multidisciplinary proposal teams to ensure timely, high-quality submissions. Establish and maintain a centralized repository of institutional capability statements, proposal templates, partnership profiles, and donor intelligence. Key Performance Indicators Total annual funding mobilized. Proposal success rate. Number of government and private-sector partnerships secured. Number of new revenue-generating initiatives developed. Quality and timeliness of funding intelligence reports. Percentage of funding from diversified (non-traditional) sources. Number and value of successful grants and contracts secured. Number of new strategic partnerships established. Growth in unrestricted or flexible funding. Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of donor landscapes, health systems, digital health, AI, and implementation science. Excellent negotiation, networking, proposal development, and communication skills Master's Degree or higher in Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, Health Economics, or a related field. Demonstrated success in securing large, competitive grants and leading multi-partner consortia. At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience: in global health, strategic partnerships, business development, or resource mobilization. What do we offer?
