They are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Operations Manager Location: Jabi District, Abuja (FCT) Position Summary The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of our semi-automated block manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will oversee production planning, workforce management, equipment performance, dispatch operations, and continuous process improvement to ensure production targets, quality standards, and customer delivery commitments are consistently achieved. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead our production activities and drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Monitor plant performance, downtime, and equipment utilization, escalating maintenance issues promptly. Ensure compliance with quality standards, workplace safety policies, and operational procedures. Plan and deploy labour effectively to achieve production targets. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and plant operations. Track and improve production cost per unit through operational efficiencies. Coordinate finished goods dispatch and ensure timely order fulfilment. Monitor raw material inventory and proactively manage stock levels to prevent production interruptions. Supervise and optimize semi-automated block production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Develop and implement daily and weekly production plans to meet customer demand. Prepare production, maintenance, and operational performance reports for management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Frequency of raw material and finished goods stock-outs Cost per unit produced Workplace health and safety performance Dispatch and delivery readiness Achievement of daily production targets Plant downtime percentage Labour productivity and efficiency Qualifications & Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with strong reporting and analytical capabilities. Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills. 5–8 years' experience: managing operations in a manufacturing or production environment. Previous experience: in a semi-automated block manufacturing plant is highly preferred. Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of production planning, plant operations, maintenance coordination, and inventory management. Reporting Line: Reports directly to the General Manager.
