We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Cost Control Lead Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite) Sector: Oil & Gas Servicing (EPC) Job Purpose This job requires a strong understanding of finance andaccounting principles, as well as the ability to analyse data andidentify areas where costs can be reduced or optimized. Cost controller is responsible for overseeing and managing theproject cost of enterprise overheads, ensuring that it stays withinbudget. Job Duties Presentation of milestones achieved and deviations from the budget with reasons. Compile and provide necessary information to external agencies. Collection of Project wise cost information from various accounting records Actively coordinate with head office accounting team, ensure project cost and sub-cost details are captured and recorded properly. Comparison of the above with budget and analyze reasons for the variance with operations team. Collection of overhead details Active participation in budgeting exercise and preparation of budgets Project profitability report for the period, inception to date and forecast to completion. Preparation Project Profitability Report (PPR) and also to date PPR for the financial year. Provide necessary information to auditors during audit Monitor overhead absorption rates are in line with budget and report for under/over absorption. Information to be complied with cost center and sub-cost center wise for the projects. Monthly MIS preparation includes preparation of actual costs for each project under different heads for the period and project inception to date, forecast/estimation of cost to completion in consultation with project team. Preparation of Cash flow forecasts in coordination with operations team Identifying variance due to price changes, quantity and scope changes Job Requirements: Advanced knowledge and experience: with spreadsheets.
