We are seeking a proactive and people-oriented Community Liaison Officer to serve as a link between the organisation & project team and the local community. The successful candidate will support effective communication, stakeholder engagement and positive relationships with community members and relevant local stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, residents and other key stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and the community. Facilitate community meetings, consultations and awareness activities. Communicate project plans, activities and relevant information clearly to community stakeholders. Identify and escalate community concerns, complaints and potential conflicts. Support community entry, mobilisation and engagement activities. Gather community feedback and provide regular reports to the project team. Support the implementation of community-related initiatives and ensure activities are culturally and socially appropriate. Maintain accurate records of community engagements, issues and resolutions. Support government and other stakeholder engagement where required. Support the development & implementation of the Project’s Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Community Development or a related field. 3–5 years’ experience: in community engagement, stakeholder relations, public relations, development projects or a related role. Strong knowledge of the local community and stakeholder environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to build trust and work effectively with diverse groups. Good conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good report-writing skills.
