Ecommerce Manager in a Beauty, Skincare & Retail Company - Bave Design Studio ⏲ Sep 2, 2026, 12:01 PM ⋕ View all Sales & Business Development jobs Bave Design Studio - Our client, a Beauty, Skincare & Retail company, is recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Ecommerce Manager Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Summary From uploading new products and maintaining product images to organising categories, updating promotions, monitoring sales and identifying issues affecting the customer journey, you will be responsible for keeping our e-commerce operation running effectively. You will be responsible for ensuring that our online storefront is accurate, visually consistent, properly merchandised and continuously optimised for customers. This is a hands-on e-commerce role. We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented and commercially minded E-commerce Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day management and performance of our online stores. Key Responsibilties Product Uploads & Catalogue Management: Create and maintain product names, descriptions, prices, SKUs, categories, brands, attributes, variations and other product information. Update existing product information whenever necessary. Upload new products to our e-commerce websites accurately and on time. Maintain an organised and accurate online product catalogue. Ensure products are assigned to the correct categories and brands. Ensure discontinued, unavailable and out-of-stock products are appropriately managed. Regularly audit product listings to identify missing, incorrect or outdated information. Product Images & Visual Quality: Ensure all product images uploaded to the website are clear, high-quality and visually consistent. Optimise images for web use without unnecessarily compromising image quality. Identify blurry, poorly cropped, incorrectly sized or low-quality images and replace or correct them. Resize, crop and optimise product images according to the company's required dimensions and image standards. Ensure product images maintain consistent proportions and presentation throughout the website. Maintain organised folders of product images and digital assets. Source appropriate product assets from approved brand/manufacturer resources when required. Website Merchandising: Ensure homepage and category merchandising reflects current campaigns and business priorities. Coordinate the website execution of seasonal campaigns and product launches. Update promotional banners, offers and website messaging as required. Manage New Arrivals, Best Sellers, Featured Products, Sale Products and other merchandising sections. Organise products and categories to make it easy for customers to discover and purchase products. Ensure marketing campaigns lead customers to the correct products, categories or landing pages. Set up promotional pricing, discount codes, bundles and other e-commerce offers. Website Quality Control: Test important customer journeys including product search, filtering, cart and checkout. Review the website regularly from a customer's perspective. Escalate technical issues to the web/development team and follow through until they are resolved. Identify incorrect prices, missing images, duplicate products, incorrect links, outdated promotions and other storefront issues. Work to maintain a clean, accurate, professional and easy-to-use online storefront. Inventory & Stock Coordination: Work closely with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure website stock information is accurate. Monitor fast-moving and frequently out-of-stock products. Ensure newly received products and restocks are published promptly. Flag discrepancies between physical inventory and online availability. Ensure customers are not unnecessarily prevented from purchasing products that are available. E-commerce Sales & Performance: Track revenue, orders, conversion rate, average order value, cart abandonment and product performance. Analyse customer behaviour and recommend improvements to the online shopping experience. Recommend actions to improve online revenue and conversion. Monitor promotional campaigns and report on their performance. Identify top-selling and underperforming products. Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, bundles and improved product merchandising. Monitor daily and weekly online sales. Customer Experience: Work closely with Customer Care to identify recurring website and ordering issues. Ensure product information is sufficiently clear to help customers make purchasing decisions. Recommend improvements based on customer questions, complaints and purchasing behaviour. Identify problems that may prevent customers from completing purchases. Reporting: Highlight problems, opportunities and recommended actions rather than simply presenting numbers. Prepare weekly and monthly e-commerce reports. Report on online sales, orders, product performance, conversion, stock issues and other relevant KPIs. Requirements: Ability to resize, crop and optimise product images. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. Good understanding of product categorisation and online merchandising. Strong attention to detail. Previous hands-on experience: managing an online store is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Experience: with WooCommerce, Shopify or another major e-commerce platform. Experience: uploading and maintaining large product catalogues. 2 - 3 years' experience: in e-commerce, online retail or a related role. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Understanding of basic e-commerce analytics and KPIs. Ability to coordinate effectively with Customer Care, Marketing, Inventory/Warehouse, Operations and technical teams. Basic working knowledge of image-editing/design tools such as Canva, Photoshop or similar tools. Added Advantage: Experience: managing website promotions and merchandising. Experience: with email marketing, abandoned-cart or customer-retention tools. Basic SEO knowledge. Experience: managing hundreds or thousands of SKUs. Google Analytics 4 experience. Previous experience: working for a beauty, skincare, cosmetics, fashion, FMCG or high-volume retail business. WooCommerce experience. Experience: with wholesale/B2B e-commerce. Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who notices the details. You should notice when a product that is available in the warehouse is showing as out of stock online. You should notice when a product image doesn't match the others. The ideal candidate combines attention to detail, e-commerce operations knowledge and commercial thinking. Your responsibility is not simply to maintain the website. You should notice when customers are repeatedly struggling with the same part of the website. You should notice when a promotion has expired but the banner is still live. You should notice when a product has been placed in the wrong category. And when you notice a problem, we expect you to take ownership of getting it resolved.
