The Opportunity As a Driver, you will provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services to support the implementation of the ASPIRE Project in Sokoto State. You will ensure that staff, visitors and project materials are transported efficiently while maintaining Plan International Nigeria’s vehicles in good working condition and complying with organisational policies and road safety regulations. You will contribute towards the operational aspects of the office and programmes, interfacing with both operational and programme team members. Key Responsibilities: Provide safe and timely transportation for staff, visitors and authorised personnel. Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy and properly maintained through routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and maintenance reports. Ensure vehicle movements comply with Plan International Nigeria’s transport and travel policies. Report accidents, faults and maintenance needs promptly. Safely transport project equipment, documents and other materials as required. Ensure vehicles are equipped with essential safety items, including first aid kits, fire extinguishers and other required emergency equipment. Dispatch and deliver official documents and materials to partners, vendors and relevant stakeholders. Support administrative and logistics activities, including sourcing quotations for procurement when required. Safeguard Plan International Nigeria’s assets and ensure they are not left unattended in vehicles. Maintain compliance with safeguarding, child protection, gender equality, inclusion, and PSHEA standards in all assigned duties. About You We are looking to recruit person (s) with: Has an Ordinary or Advanced Level Certificate. Possesses a valid Class B Driver’s Licence. Has at least three (3) years of professional driving experience, including vehicle maintenance. Has experience: working with an NGO or development organisation (an added advantage). Demonstrates good knowledge of Sokoto State road networks and other North-Central and North-West states. Can confidently drive Hilux vehicles. Has good communication and interpersonal skills. Has basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Is organised, dependable, and able to manage time effectively. Pays attention to detail and maintains accurate vehicle documentation.
