Auto Mechanic Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: 3 years Location Anambra Job Field Engineering / Technical Job Summary This role involves fixing factory trucks and replacing their parts, repairing the vehicle\'s mechanical components, diagnosing problems with trucks, and performing maintenance work on them as well; conducting routine checks and preventive maintenance to prevent major breakdowns that might disrupt delivery; and changing oil as needed to make sure trucks run smoothly, Key Responsibilities: Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements: Inspect trucks engine, mechanical/electrical components to repair, maintain, and upgrade Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems. Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.), aiming to improve vehicle functionality and longevity Schedule maintenance sessions and advise drivers on good truck use Maintain equipment and tools in good condition Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them on time Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles, etc.) Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades. Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records. Ensure appropriate maintenance and safety of working tools/equipment Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental practices (use of PPEs). Ensure good personal and truck hygiene Any other assigned task. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES B.Sc / HND In Auto Engineering or it equivillent Experience: Proven experience: as an auto/truck mechanic. Age: 25 - 35 years old Licence: Valid driver’s licence. Vehicle Systems: Strong knowledge of truck mechanical, electrical and electronic components. Diagnostics: Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods. Tools & Lifting: Ability to use workshop tools and heavy lifting equipment safely. Physical Capability: Good physical condition for vehicle-maintenance work. Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and repair-planning ability. Communication: Good communication and organisational skills. OHS Competence: Strong knowledge of vehicle isolation, lifting, fuel/fire, battery and workshop controls.
