These include, but are not limited to; AEROBICS, HIIT, CARDIO, YOGA, DANCE etc. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Facility Officer Locations: Kubwa, Wuse, and Maitama, Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Duties and Responsibilities: Facility Maintenance & Operations: Schedule and manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of all assets. Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs of gym equipment, building structures, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and other facility infrastructure. Ensure adequate stock levels of operational supplies (cleaning materials, consumables, etc.). Coordinate repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance schedules. Monitor and maintain gym equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. Oversee the daily operations of the gym, ensuring seamless service delivery across all areas. Maintain accurate records of facility operations, maintenance activities, equipment history, and service contracts. Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and fully functional at all times. Identify and recommend the most effective course of action for repair versus replacement of equipment or infrastructure Janitors Supervision & Coordination: Prepare and manage janitors’ schedules and shift rosters. Ensure that janitors adhere to company policies, service standards, and operational procedures. Supervise and manage cleaners, and security personnel. Provide guidance, performance feedback, and support to team members. Power & Energy Management: Monitor and manage power consumption across the facility, initiating energy-saving practices to improve efficiency. Manage and maintain the generator, ensuring it is functional, fueled, and operated when necessary. Ensure prompt requisition of power supply and that the facility remains adequately lighted at all times. Ensure all alternative power sources—including inverters, solar panels, lithium batteries, and tubular batteries—are maintained and functioning at optimal capacity. Monitor diesel supply, ensure prompt requisition, and track usage to optimize efficiency. Health, Safety & Compliance: Address all facility-related and equipment-related issues or complaints raised by members, employees, or management promptly and effectively. Implement fire safety, emergency response, and evacuation procedures as part of the facility’s safety protocols. Conduct periodic inspections to identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective measures. Ensure full compliance with local and federal regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards. Ensure proper handling of incidents, emergencies, and safety procedures.. Vendor & Contractor Management: Oversee the quality and timeliness of work performed by external vendors and ensure compliance with agreed service levels. Manage vendor contracts and service level agreements (SLAs). Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with contractors and service providers for maintenance, cleaning, security, and other facility-related services. Security Oversight: Safeguard gym equipment and inventory. Identify any lapses in security or safety and take immediate corrective action. Monitor access control and ensure only authorized use of the facility. Supervise security personnel to ensure diligent performance of duties.
