We are seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and results-driven Accountant to join our Consulting Associate Team. Key Responsibilities: Prepare periodic financial reports, management reports, and relevant financial statements. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, company policies, and regulatory obligations. Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions. Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision-making. Monitor cash flow and support effective working capital management. Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records for audit and compliance purposes. Monitor financial controls and identify discrepancies, irregularities, or potential risks. Perform bank, cash, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. Perform other accounting and financial duties as may be assigned. Review invoices, payment requests, expenses, and other financial documentation for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review journals, ledgers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Investigate accounting variances and resolve discrepancies promptly. Support internal and external audit processes by providing required schedules, documents, and explanations. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and efficiency. Assist with payroll-related accounting activities and statutory deductions where applicable. Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions. Requirements: Ability to work independently and effectively within a team. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Professional qualification or ongoing membership of ICAN, ACCA, or another recognized accounting body is an advantage. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism. Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, depending on level of responsibility.
