We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our logistics company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting processes within a fast-paced logistics environment and be proficient in the use of QuickBooks. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company. Record and reconcile daily financial transactions. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Monitor and track logistics-related expenses, including transportation, fuel, maintenance, and operational costs. Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with management accounts. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Monitor customer and vendor accounts and follow up on outstanding balances. Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records. Assist with payroll-related accounting processes when required. Support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable accounting regulations. Perform other accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. ICAN, ACCA, or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage. Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience. Previous experience: in a logistics, transportation, courier, or related industry is an added advantage. Demonstrable experience: using QuickBooks. Experience: with reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and general accounting processes. Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in QuickBooks is required. Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Good understanding of financial transactions within a logistics/transportation environment. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
