St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is seeking a competent, patient-focused, and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join its healthcare team. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, ethical standards, and hospital policies. Support pharmacovigilance and medication safety initiatives within the hospital. Participate in ward rounds and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation. Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently. Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage instructions. Review prescriptions to ensure correctness, dosage accuracy, and appropriateness of therapy. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy unit. Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff where necessary. Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper storage of medications. Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper disposal of expired medications. Monitor drug interactions and contraindications to ensure patient safety. Requirements: Education: & Professional Requirements: Valid & current practicing license from the Pharmacists Council Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) Experience: in a hospital or community pharmacy setting is an added advantage 2 – 5 years post-Nysc experience: is preferred Other Requirements: Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion while attending to patients Strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where necessary Required Skills & Competencies: Good documentation and record-keeping ability Strong ethical and professional conduct Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and medication management Good communication and patient counselling skills Problem-solving and decision-making ability Attention to detail and accuracy Teamwork and interpersonal skills Remuneration Salary: N200,000 - N350,000 monthly.
