Original source description
We are hiring a Product Manager to drive delivery within our cross-border payments portfolio. You will own defined product areas within a strategy set with the Lead PM, and you will take features from requirements: through partner integration, compliance review, build, launch, and iteration. This is a role for someone who has shipped real fintech products, wants significantly more ownership than they have today, and is ready to grow into larger product ownership as the company grows. Job Expectations You will own the delivery of features within our remittance and off-ramp products, writing clear PRDs and user stories and working daily with engineering, design, compliance, and operations to ship. You will run discovery with users, define success metrics for your features and use funnel and transaction data to prioritize and iterate. You will manage the day-to-day relationship with assigned payment and payout partners, tracking SLAs and coordinating integrations, with commercial negotiations led by senior colleagues. You will translate compliance requirements: into product flows with support from our compliance team. You will contribute to roadmap planning with well-argued proposals backed by data. You will support incident response for your product areas and communicate status clearly to users and internal teams Critical Competencies You have 3+ years of product management experience: with at least 1 to 2 years in fintech or payments. You have shipped at least one payments-adjacent product or major feature end to end and can walk us through the decisions you made. You have hands-on exposure to at least one payments product area, for example, cross-border payments, crypto or stablecoin products, wallets, cards, payment links or checkout, or recurring payment rails. You understand KYC and AML at a working level and have built or modified a flow that had compliance requirements. You are comfortable with product analytics tools, can pull your own data, and have used it to make a prioritisation call. You write clearly, communicate proactively, and take ownership beyond your ticket queue. Nice-to-Haves Exposure to African payment rails such as NIP, MPesa, or MoMo. Experience: integrating third-party payment APIs and handling their failure modes. Experience: in an early-stage or scale-up environment. Familiarity with A/B testing and retention work Cultural Competencies Entrepreneurial and experimental — thrives in a startup environment. Bias for action and growth, not afraid to fail fast and learn quickly. Mission-driven and passionate about expanding financial access in Africa. You work well with people of different backgrounds, identities, values and cultures You listen well, seek to understand and respond with empathy You give and take constructive feedback to and from colleagues at any level You are extremely curious and love working collaboratively A knack for continuous growth, learning and knowledge sharing Check how your CV aligns with this job Method of Application Interested and qualified?
