Read more about this company Accountant Job Type Full Time , Onsite Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience 5 - 20 years Location Lagos Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Salary Range ₦200,000 - ₦300,000/month We are seeking a competent and experienced Accountant to lead the Company’s Accounting Department and ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Maintaining accurate books of accounts and financial records. Managing petty cash transactions and ensuring proper documentation. Preparing regular bank reconciliations. Establishing and maintaining accounting records for all clients and company operations. Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports. Managing statutory tax obligations, including PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax and other applicable taxes. Managing payroll, employee payslips and pension remittances. Preparing and processing client invoices. Monitoring receivables, following up on outstanding payments and supporting debt recovery. Managing accounts payable and ensuring timely payment of approved obligations. Supporting budgeting, financial planning and management decision-making. Performing any other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by Management. Qualifications and Skills Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Relevant professional accounting qualification will be an advantage. Good knowledge of Nigerian tax, payroll and pension regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills. High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail. Relevant accounting experience, preferably in a structured corporate environment.
