We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Site Engineer (Electrical / Civil) Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time, On-site Role Summary We are seeking a versatile and experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in Electrical or Civil Engineering to oversee construction and installation activities at our project sites in Ikeja, Lagos. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring hands-on engineering expertise and strong coordination skills. The ideal candidate will manage the integration of electrical systems (power, lighting, cabling, switchgear) with civil works (foundations, structures, finishing), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Execution: Supervise site labor, subcontractors, and vendors for structural, finishing, and earthworks activities. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards. Oversee day-to-day civil construction activities, ensuring work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and schedules. Quality Control & Compliance: Identify and resolve technical issues or discrepancies on site promptly. Ensure all civil works comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards. Perform material testing and quality checks on structural and finishing works. Electrical Systems Installation & Supervision: Supervise electrical subcontractors and ensure proper cable routing, earthing, and termination procedures. Ensure all electrical installations comply with Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) standards, IEC codes, and project specifications. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and backup power systems (generators, UPS). MEP Coordination: Review electrical drawings, schematics, and load calculations to ensure accuracy and feasibility. Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. Project Coordination & Reporting: Liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports covering both civil and electrical activities. Monitor project timelines and flag potential delays, proposing mitigation strategies. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols on site. Conduct risk assessments and ensure all site personnel are equipped with appropriate safety gear. Resource Management: Track material usage and coordinate timely procurement of required supplies. Manage materials, equipment, and resources efficiently to minimize waste and optimize costs. Requirements: 3 - 5 years of post-NYSC experience: in civil engineering and electrical systems installation, preferably in building construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects. COREN registration or membership with NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers) is an added advantage. Knowledge of power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, lighting, and earthing systems; ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng /B.Sc.)or HND in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with project management tools and MS Office Suite. Civil:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools; strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and structural analysis. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
