The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has hands-on experience: in structural design, piling and execution of deep foundation works. The Associate Civil Engineer supports civil and structural engineering design, technical assurance, structural integrity, compliance with standards and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Engineering & Design: Review structural designs to ensure compatibility with foundation systems Interpret geotechnical investigation reports and recommend suitable foundation systems Assist in the design and analysis of foundations including pile foundations (bored piles, driven piles, CFA piles, raft foundations, etc.) Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports Site Supervision & Execution: Monitor pile installation processes, including load testing and integrity testing Coordinate with contractors, geotechnical engineers, and project teams Supervise piling and foundation works on-site to ensure adherence to specifications Ensure quality control and compliance with safety and engineering standards Project Coordination: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation for civil, structural engineering and foundation works Identify and resolve technical issues during execution Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and track project progress and prepare site reports Compliance & Quality Assurance: Maintain documentation for inspections, approvals, and audits Implement HSE policies during site operations Ensure all works comply with local regulations, codes, and international standards Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field Proven experience: in piling and foundation engineering projects Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience: in civil engineering Professional engineering registration NSE, COREN is compulsory. Technical Skills: Understanding of pile load testing and interpretation Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and geotechnical principles Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering tools Familiarity with foundation design software (e.g., PLAXIS, SAFE, ETABS, or similar) Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
