SmartBay Eye & Dental Clinic, 76 TOS Benson Road (Beach Road), opposite NNPC Filling Station, General Hospital Road, Ebute, Ikorodu, Lagos,is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Dental Officer to join our growing clinical team. The successful candidate will provide quality dental care, perform routine examinations and treatments, educate patients on oral health, and contribute to a positive and professional patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Follow strict infection prevention and control procedures. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients. Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assess patients' oral health. Perform routine dental procedures including scaling and polishing, fillings, extractions, and other appropriate treatments. Participate in dental outreaches, school programs, corporate screenings, and community health initiatives. Provide preventive dental care and oral health education. Work closely with dental assistants, optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Diagnose and manage common dental and oral health conditions. Ensure all dental equipment and treatment areas are properly maintained. Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, nutrition, and general oral hygiene. Manage dental emergencies and provide appropriate referrals where necessary. Stay updated on current dental practices, technologies, and clinical guidelines. Requirements: Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 1–3 years post-qualification experience: is preferred. Valid practicing license. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate clinical records. Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach. Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry (BDS) from a recognized institution. Must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). Experience: with electronic medical records is an added advantage.
