This role ensures accurate recording, timely payments, efficient collections, and compliance with both local and international accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: Account Payable: Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. Monitor outstanding liabilities and maintain vendor relationships. Account Receivable: Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and receipts. Generate and issue client invoices for petroleum products, consultancy, and service contracts. Track collections, follow up on overdue accounts, and manage credit control. Financial Reporting: Assist in audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations. Support management with cash flow forecasts and working capital analysis. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on payables and receivables. Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and industry standards. Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement. Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies. Cross-Functional Support: Provide financial insights to support project costing, budgeting, and profitability analysis. Collaborate with operations teams in waste management, haulage, and marine services to align financial records with service delivery. Key Requirements: Professional certification (ACA, ACCA,) required. Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and petroleum industry regulations. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: in with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). 5 - 7 years’ experience: in accounting, with at least 3 years in oil & gas or related industries. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities Skills & Competencies: Precision in preparing reports and ensuring compliance. Work effectively with finance, operations, and compliance teams. Clear reporting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to identify financial risks and propose solutions.
