The Procurement/Quantity surveying Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating the company's procurement activities, ensuring timely, Project Contract Management and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent negotiation skills, vendor management abilities, and a strong understanding of procurement a best practice. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's operations and goals. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and terms for materials and services. Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier contracts. Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and monitor supplier performance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and best practices in procurement. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including material schedules and equipment requirements, and subcontractor costs. Measure and quantify construction work completed for progress payments and final accounts. Analyze and validate contractor, subcontractor, and supplier claims. Participate in project cost control, forecasting, and reporting to the project management team. Identify risks and opportunities related to construction costs and provide recommendations. Assist with preparing tender documents, contract negotiations, and change orders. Maintain comprehensive project cost records and documentation. Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and accurate cost management. Provide technical advice and recommendations to the project team on cost-related matters. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in quantity survey, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Proven experience: as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing techniques, and contract management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software. Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus. Understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards. Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
