The BDM is responsible for driving Procept Africa’s commercial growth across West Africa’s Anglophone countries—Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia and Francophone countries—Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Benin, Togo, Guinea, Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso. The BDM will lead the full business development lifecycle, including generating and qualifying leads, managing client accounts, and supporting the successful execution and delivery of client engagements. The role ensures the effective identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, the strengthening of long-term client relationships, and the seamless coordination of engagement delivery. This position is central to revenue growth, strategic partnership development, client relationship expansion, and the implementation of market-entry strategies across both priority and emerging markets. Job Description Business Development & Revenue Growth: Identify, qualify, and close opportunities in consulting, ISO implementation, training, and advisory services. Build and manage a strong pipeline across Anglophone and Francophone markets. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets. Market Expansion & Territory Management: Execute Procept Africa’s regional expansion roadmap and market-entry strategies. Develop in-country approaches tailored to banking, government, telecom, fintech, and donor-funded sectors. Establish a presence in both mature and emerging markets through direct engagement and strategic partners. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture senior-level relationships with central banks, government ministries, regulators, financial institutions, telecom operators, and large corporates. Conduct executive briefings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements. Ensure high customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Proposal, Bidding & Contracting: Lead RFP/RFQ responses, proposal development, and bid submissions. Structure commercial offers and negotiate contracts to closure. Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure scope alignment and smooth handover. Partnership & Ecosystem Development: Identify and onboard local partners, resellers, and delivery collaborators, in Francophone and Anglophone markets. Maintain relationships with training bodies, certification partners, donor programs, and industry associations. Enable partners to generate and support pipeline opportunities. Market Intelligence & Strategic Input: Track regulatory developments, cybersecurity mandates, banking reforms, digital transformation initiatives, and donor-funded opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, IT, or a related field; a Master’s degree (MBA/MSc) is an added advantage. Minimum of 6 years’ experience: in business development, consulting sales, or professional services across West Africa. Proven track record in selling consulting, advisory, ISO, or training services.
