We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Production Manager Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Precast Concrete Manufacturing Job Summary The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the end-to-end production process of precast concrete products, including concrete blocks, paving stones, and kerbstones. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and operational efficiency to ensure consistent product quality, timely output, and cost-effective manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Execution: Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery Monitor production schedules and adjust operations to meet demand requirements. Plan, organise, and manage daily production activities to meet output targets Ensure efficient utilisation of machinery, raw materials, and workforce Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes across production stages Ensure all products meet required quality standards and specifications. Address defects and production issues and implement corrective actions Operations Management: Minimise downtime and improve production efficiency Maintain optimal equipment performance through regular maintenance coordination Oversee plant operations, including batching, moulding, curing, and finishing processes Health, Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular safety checks and training for production staff Ensure safe handling of materials, machinery, and equipment Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the production facility Team Leadership: Foster a disciplined and performance-driven work environment Set performance targets and ensure team productivity Supervise, train, and manage production staff and machine operators Inventory & Resource Management: Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of materials Reduce waste and optimise resource utilisation Monitor raw material levels to prevent shortages Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Track production performance metrics and prepare regular reports. Implement best practices to enhance productivity and product quality. Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
