The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working across multiple construction projects, including buildings, factories, industrial facilities, earthworks, infrastructure and other civil construction projects. We are seeking an experienced SeniorCivil Engineer with 9–15 years of extensive hands-on experience: in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors, MEP engineers, contractors, consultants and clients. Coordinate and oversee multiple construction projects and ensure timely project delivery. Participate in project and site meetings and provide regular progress reports to management. Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify and resolve construction delays. Supervise and manage civil construction activities from project commencement through completion. Oversee civil works including foundations, concrete works, structural works, earthworks, drainage, roads and other site development activities. Interpret and implement engineering drawings, designs, specifications and construction plans. Support project testing, snagging, rectification and final handover activities. Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and other resources required for project execution. Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality of workmanship and materials. Travel to various project locations as required. Review contractors' work and ensure completed works meet required standards. Identify technical challenges on site and provide practical and cost-effective engineering solutions. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements: on all project sites. Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements. Monitor material usage and construction activities to minimise wastage and control project costs. Supervise contractors, subcontractors, site supervisors, artisans and other construction personnel. Maintain accurate project documentation, including site reports, progress reports, inspection records and technical documentation. Requirements: B.Sc. / B.Eng. in Civil Engineering is an advantage but not mandatory where the candidate has substantial and relevant practical construction experience. Experience: managing contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines. Demonstrated experience: in site supervision and project execution. Strong understanding of construction materials, processes and quality control. Willingness to travel and work across different project locations in Nigeria. Strong practical knowledge of civil engineering and construction methods. 9–15 years of relevant construction experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and BOQs. Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills. COREN registration or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage. Proven experience: working on multiple construction projects.
