We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accountant Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Office-Based Job Summary We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with five (5) or more years’ experience: in preparation of statutory accounts and supporting compliance work for a portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities: Access a number of bookkeeping software such as SAGE, QuickBooks and XERO and other sources for reports and other information required to completeassignedtasks. Complete and send accounts packs for client signature. Prepare year-end journal of accounting adjustments and advise clients accordingly. Prepare financial statements for clients in line with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the UK GAAP. Carry out various account reconciliations, ensuring issues identified are properly investigated, resolved or queried. Identify key weaknesses in clients' financial reporting systems and recommend improvements required. Coach junior team members and collaborate with other staff. Prepare tax computations and tax returns for incorporated and unincorporated entities and individuals in line with the relevant tax laws. Comply with the firm-wide quality control procedures. Requirements: ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are only available after probation. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. First Degree in Accounting, Economics or any other relevant fields, with at least 5 years’ experience: preparing statutory accounts. Strong understanding of IFRS and UK accounting standards Open to candidates nationwide: Qualified candidates residing outside Lagos are welcome to apply, provided they are willing and able to relocate to Lagos for the role.
