We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Diversity & Inclusion Lead Location: Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos Job Type: Full-time Job Summary The Diversity and Inclusion Lead will support the development and implementation of inclusive, accessible, and student-centred practices across the University. The role will focus on strengthening accessibility, coordinating academic accommodations and related workflows, supporting the implementation of approved diversity and inclusion policies, building staff and faculty capacity, and ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds are able to participate fully and with dignity in university life. The role requires strong coordination, follow-through, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Fluency in French is required, to support engagement with Francophone students, applicants, partners and stakeholders. Responsibilities: The responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following: Support inclusive engagement with diverse student groups, including students with disabilities, first-generation students, low-income students, displaced students, international students and Francophone students. Develop and operationalise a Diversity and Inclusion coordination structure, including roles, feedback channels, escalation pathways and periodic review processes. Work with faculty, academic departments, Student Affairs, counselling, health services and other relevant units to ensure approved academic accommodations are implemented appropriately and discreetly. Track, document and report on Diversity and Inclusion activities, accessibility improvements, accommodation requests, training outcomes, policy implementation and institutional follow-up actions. Coordinate accessibility and inclusion initiatives across student-facing services, learning spaces and activities. Coordinate academic accommodation processes for students requiring support, including documentation, communication with relevant units, implementation tracking and follow-up from request to completion. Support the implementation of approved diversity, inclusion and accessibility policies, ensuring that they are understood and applied consistently across relevant student-facing and academic units. Support faculty and staff to adopt inclusive practices in classroom interaction, learning materials, assessment, student engagement and referral pathways. Coordinate continuous staff and faculty training to ensure that policy commitments translate into practical, respectful and inclusive day-to-day practice. Strengthen student feedback, reasonable accommodation and referral pathways for inclusion, accessibility, disability-related, discrimination or participation concerns. Qualifications Experience: in a university, scholarship programme, non-profit, or student-facing environment is an advantage. Relevant experience: in diversity and inclusion, disability inclusion, student support, accessibility, safeguarding, higher education, or development programmes. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Development Studies, Disability Studies, Law, Human Resources, International Development, or a related field. Fluency in English and French. Experience: coordinating student support services, case management, policy implementation, and training or awareness programmes. Requirements: / Competencies: Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
