We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Florist Location: Aba, Abia Reports to: Executive Housekeeper Main Function The Florist is responsible for designing, arranging, and maintaining fresh floral displays across the hotel’s lobby, public areas, guest rooms, and event spaces, enhancing the property’s luxury ambiance. Role Responsibilities: Floral Arrangement & Design: Set up and dismantle floral décor for events as scheduled. Inventory Management Monitor stock levels and minimize wastage of perishable floral materials. Liaise with the Executive Housekeeper on public area floral standards and budgets. Maintain floral equipment and storage areas in clean, working condition. Coordination Coordinate with local vendors and suppliers for quality and cost-effective floral sourcing. Prepare bespoke floral arrangements for VIP guests, special occasions, and events. Coordinate with F&B and Events teams on floral requirements: for banquets, weddings, and functions. Design and create fresh floral arrangements for the lobby, reception, restaurants, and public areas. Source, order, and manage inventory of flowers, plants, and floral supplies. Refresh and maintain existing arrangements to ensure flowers remain fresh and presentable. Event & Public Area Décor Qualifications and Requirements: Education: and Certifications Minimum of 2 years’ experience: as a florist, preferably within a hotel, events, or hospitality setting. SSCE/OND; certification or apprenticeship in floristry is preferred. Skills Technical Skills: Floral design and arrangement Plant and flower care Inventory and vendor management Soft Skills: Creativity Aesthetic sensibility.
