The role will specifically cover seasoning cubes, seasoning powders, tomato paste, jollof spices and related food products. Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Abeokuta & Ogun State, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Raw Material & Packaging Quality: Inspect and test incoming raw materials such as spices, salt, starches, flavourings, colours, tomato concentrate/paste ingredients and other food additives. Verify raw materials against approved specifications before production use. Inspect packaging materials for quality, dimensions, printing, sealing and suitability. Maintain proper records of approved and rejected materials. Production Quality Control: Conduct routine quality checks throughout production. Monitor production parameters and ensure adherence to approved SOPs and formulations. Carry out in-process checks for seasoning cubes, powders, tomato paste and jollof spices. Check cube weight, hardness, appearance, colour, aroma, dissolution and consistency. Check seasoning powders and spices for moisture, colour, aroma, particle size, caking, foreign matter and uniformity. Check tomato paste for Brix, pH, colour, viscosity, consistency, taste, fill weight and packaging integrity. Conduct finished-product sensory evaluation. Ensure batch-to-batch consistency. Laboratory & Testing Conduct physical and chemical tests on raw materials and finished products. Carry out pH, moisture, Brix, weight variation and other relevant tests. Coordinate or conduct microbiological testing where applicable. Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Food Safety & Compliance Monitor GMP, hygiene and sanitation practices within the factory. Support implementation of HACCP and food safety procedures. Ensure products comply with applicable NAFDAC, SON and relevant food safety requirements. Monitor critical control points and quality control points. Maintain proper product traceability and retention samples. Non-Conformity & Complaints Identify and document quality deviations. Investigate production defects and customer complaints. Conduct Root Cause Analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Follow up on CAPA implementation. Documentation Maintain batch records, laboratory results, inspection reports and release documents. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly QC reports. Maintain specifications for raw materials, packaging and finished products. Release or hold finished products based on approved quality requirements.
