Our oils are used as healthy cooking medium. Soybean meal and palm kernel de-oiled cake are used in premier poultry / animal feed. The company’s products have been duly certified by the appropriate regulatory agencies Such as the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) and National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA). Golden Oil has modern processing technology and plants, which can be compared to worldwide standards. The company has highly trained seasoned oil experts, who’s commitment is to delivering healthy oil to Nigerian consumers. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Inventory Accountant Location: Ogun Job type: Full-time Job Summary This role is entitled to manage inventory accounting and remittance processing. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory records, timely reconciliation of stock, and proper handling of remittance collections and deposits. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and finance teams. Your contributions will directly impact the financial health and compliance of the company. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including purchases, transfers, adjustments, and disposals. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements: related to inventory, taxation, and reporting. Assist in the development and implementation of inventory-related internal controls and risk mitigation strategies. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to inventory and compliance activities. Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory authorities, as required. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Perform regular reconciliation between physical stock and system records. Support periodic inventory counts (cycle and physical) and investigate discrepancies. Work with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure inventory accuracy and control. Monitor and record all cash, bank, and electronic remittances from sales, branches, or agents. Reconcile daily remittances against sales and deposit records. Investigate and resolve remittance discrepancies or delays with internal teams or external partners. Maintain remittance logs and prepare reports for finance and audit purposes. The Person Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification is an advantage Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.). Experience: with ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite). High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good organizational and communication skills. 4–6 years of experience: in accounting, preferably with exposure to inventory and compliance and remittance handling. Experience: in retail, distribution, FMCG, or logistics sectors (preferred). Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). Salary N300,000 – N400,000 / Month.
