The ideal candidate must possess strong numerical skills, integrity, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. We are seeking a trustworthy, customer-oriented, and detail-driven Cashier to join its Finance Department. Key Responsibilities: Respond professionally to patients' billing and payment enquiries. Assist with other finance and administrative duties as assigned by Management. Maintain confidentiality of patients' financial information and hospital records. Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the Finance Department. Collaborate with the Accounts Department to resolve billing discrepancies. Receive payments from patients, clients, and other customers through cash, POS, bank transfers, or other approved payment channels. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and supporting documents. Ensure proper custody of cash and other financial instruments entrusted to you. Verify patient bills and payment details before processing transactions. Report any discrepancies, shortages, or suspicious transactions immediately to the Finance Manager. Balance cash collections and reconcile daily transactions at the close of business. Ensure strict compliance with the hospital's financial policies and internal control procedures. Issue official receipts for all payments received and ensure accurate documentation. Education: & Professional Requirements: Minimum of an OND / HND / B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification in Accounting or Finance is an added advantage. Experience: Experience: in a hospital, healthcare facility, or other service-oriented organization is an added advantage. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience: as a cashier, finance assistant, or customer service officer. Required Skills & Competencies: Professional appearance and conduct. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Good communication and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Ability to use accounting software, billing systems, or Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) is an added advantage. High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Other Requirements: Strong commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
