We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Engineer - IP and MPLS Support Job ID: 7568 Location: Ikoyi, Lagos Reports To: Manager - DataComm Support Division: Network Mission Implements and supports Unified Communication Solutions for integrated voice, video and data across various design models including Single, Distributed, and Survivable Remote Sites, multi-vendor platforms including routing, switching, security and wireless technologies Ensure degradations on the internet edge network are picked within SLA and troubleshoot with the respective Managed Services Vendors, Partners and internal teams for fix Support and traffic engineering for Internet Cache services (FB, Google) and exchange point (IXPN), Data Centre Networks utilizing Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), including Application Delivery Controllers. Drive and ensure resolution of Internet related escalated issues within SLA, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) operation. Manages the implementation and support of MTNN IP/MPLS network Description Organize and lead pre-defined expansion plans to MTNN IP network to ensure the continuing availability, performance, and capacity of our network and network services Ensure proper integration of new network elements at the regions and acceptance testing Ensure routine maintenance and housekeeping (records, back-ups, etc.) on all network nodes within the region KPI monitoring and implementation Identifying issues to prevent expensive outages or unnecessary capacity upgrades. Participate in network infrastructure audit activities and provide evidence as required. Provide technical solution and hands-on support on switches & routers Make recommendations continually on changes in hardware and network configuration to improve service delivery Interface with planning and vendor to review designs Document network problems and resolutions for future reference Contribute to the development, maintenance, and periodic testing of disaster recovery plans ensuring business continuity for all core services and critical applications Schedules, plans, and performs periodic scheduled maintenance to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels Requirements: Education: First Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or Electrical or Electrical Electronics/Engineering Fluent in English. Script writing /Training Cisco Certifications Experience: 3-7 years’ experience: which includes Multicast Routing: Understanding of multicast routing protocols (IGMP, PIM) and their role in distributing data to multiple recipients.
