We are looking for a skilled, organised Chef who can prepare quality African meals consistently while maintaining hygiene, portion control, and kitchen discipline. Key Responsibilities: Prepare healthy African meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, walk-in customers, and subscription orders. Follow approved recipes, portion sizes, food presentation standards, and daily production plans. Maintain high hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation at all times. Support menu planning, meal prep, stock checks, and daily kitchen opening/closing routines. Work with sales/kitchen assistants to ensure orders are packed, labelled, and served correctly. Monitor ingredients, report low stock, reduce waste, and protect company equipment. Use simple digital tools for inventory, order updates, production notes, and daily reports. Maintain a calm, professional, respectful attitude under pressure. Requirements: Minimum of National Diploma, catering certificate, hospitality qualification, SSCE with strong relevant experience, or equivalent training. Proven experience: preparing Nigerian/African meals in a restaurant, catering, food business, or commercial kitchen. Must be educated, organised, hygienic, punctual, and able to follow documented processes. Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using a phone, POS/order app, WhatsApp, spreadsheets, or inventory tools. Must understand food safety, portion control, meal prep, and customer service standards. Must live on Lagos Island or close enough to commute reliably.
