We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Communication Intern (Design & Visualization) Location: Nigeria Purpose of the Internship The Communication Intern (Design & Visualization) will support the team in developing engaging visual materials that communicate project activities, training content, and key data. The intern will work under the guidance of the Information Management Officer and gain practical experience: in graphic design, data visualization, and organizational communications. Key Responsibilities: Graphic Design Support: Support the development of visual content for workshops, meetings, and capacity-building activities. Create simple illustrations, icons, and layouts using approved branding guidelines. Assist in designing presentations, training materials, handouts, posters, banners, and other communication products. Data Visualization: Support the preparation of maps and visual products in collaboration with the Information Management team. Assist in developing infographics, charts, and simple dashboards to communicate project information. Help organize visual assets and maintain design templates. Communication Materials: Help edit and format documents to improve readability and visual appeal. Assist in preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Support the design of reports, factsheets, newsletters, and social media posts. Branding and Content Management: Organize and maintain a library of communication materials, templates, and photographs. Provide support in updating communication platforms and shared information resources. Ensure communication products follow 3iS and donor branding requirements. Learning and Team Support: Support other communication and administrative tasks as assigned. Participate in team meetings and capacity-building activities. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new design and visualization tools. Requirements: Education: Recent graduate (within the last 1–2 years) with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Multimedia, Mass Communication, Computer Graphics, or another related field. Experience: A strong interest in humanitarian and development work is desirable. Previous internships, volunteer experience, academic projects, or freelance work in graphic design or communications is required. Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS, or QGIS is desirable but not mandatory. Basic proficiency in Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign) is an advantage. Soft Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Creative mindset and willingness to learn. Ability to receive feedback and work collaboratively within a team. Good attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
