The teacher will foster a love for Islamic learning and Arabic literacy while ensuring academic excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Qur’anic studies and Arabic language, with a strong focus on preparing students for the NECO Basic Education: Certificate Examination (BECE) and Lagos State BECE. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Qur’an & Arabic Language Teacher to join our academic team. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment. Utilize effective teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and learning. Prepare students for internal assessments and external BECE exams. Develop lesson plans and assess students’ progress in Qur’anic memorization and recitation. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and discussions. Use modern teaching aids and techniques to enhance language acquisition. Deliver engaging Arabic language lessons aligned with NECO BECE and Lagos State BECE curriculum. Teach Qur’anic recitation (Tajweed), memorization (Hifz), and understanding (Tafsir) appropriate to students’ age and level. Educate students on Islamic teachings, history, and ethics. Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Collaborate with other Islamic Studies and Language teachers to ensure consistency and integration. Provide guidance and mentorship to students in their academic and personal development. Provide feedback and support to students and parents regarding academic progress. Participate in curriculum development and school improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, or related field. Tech-savvy Passion for education: and student development. Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners. Ability to inspire and motivate students in both religious and academic contexts. Certification in Qur’anic studies or Tajweed is highly desirable. Experience: teaching in a secondary school setting. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Proficiency in Qur’an recitation. Experience: teaching within the Lagos State, WASSCE, or JAMB framework is an advantage. Commitment to continuous professional development. Strong moral character and alignment with Islamic values.
