The role is responsible for budgeting, financial analysis, regulatory compliance, treasury management, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting systems. The ideal candidate will provide accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting Support the preparation of monthly budgets, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts, including variance analysis and performance insights. Coordinate core accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization. Consolidate group financial accounts and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements. Provide value-added financial and management reports to support informed decision-making by senior management. Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial information for internal and external reporting purposes. Financial Controls and Systems Management Maintain and periodically review financial reporting systems to ensure they effectively track financial performance and support operational efficiency. Establish and enforce strong control mechanisms across purchase and sales ledgers. Review financial data processing and operational systems within the Finance function and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Manage general ledger activities and ensure proper reconciliation of sub-ledgers. Treasury and Cash Management Support treasury management activities, including cash flow monitoring, fund flow management, and liquidity planning. Provide weekly updates on fund flow and financial position. Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records. Regulatory Compliance and Statutory Reporting Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies. Manage statutory remittances, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), and Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE). Support the implementation and monitoring of financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across entities. Operational Finance Support Process and post payment vouchers and maintain proper documentation for financial transactions. Assist in providing financial information for various reporting entities within the group. Support the development and implementation of sound financial controls, procedures, and policies. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the line manager. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional certification as a Chartered Accountant (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is required. Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience: in accounting or finance roles.
