Description

Warehouse Site Selection and Operational Launch (Key Focus in the Initial Stage): Responsible for inspecting and selecting warehouse locations in the Badagry area that meet the company’s requirements, evaluating location safety, transportation convenience, rental costs, and surrounding facilities and services. Coordinate the completion of local compliance procedures for the warehouse to ensure that warehouse operations are legal and compliant. Team Building and Management: Recruit and build a local sales team according to business plans. Improve the team’s product knowledge, sales skills, and cross-border business service capabilities through daily training, accompanying sales visits, review meetings, and other methods. Responsible for team attendance, performance evaluation, and daily management to ensure that sales targets are achieved. Sales and Market Development: Responsible for developing and maintaining customers for steel products, including construction steel, and textile products, including fabrics and home textiles, in the Badagry and Benin border areas. Develop monthly and quarterly sales plans and lead the team to achieve the sales performance targets set by the company. Establish and maintain customer records and follow up on quotations, orders, and shipments. Cross-Border Business Coordination: Assist customers with common issues arising during the exit process from Nigeria and entry process into Benin, improving the customer experience: with cross-border self-pickup services. Market Information Feedback: Regularly collect and provide feedback on competitors’ prices, promotional activities, changes in border trade policies, and other relevant market information. Based on frontline market feedback, assist the company in adjusting its product portfolio and pricing strategies and provide practical recommendations. Job Requirements: Education: and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or above, with more than 5 years of sales experience: and more than 2 years of experience: as a Sales Supervisor or in an equivalent or higher management position. Industry Background: Sales experience: with both steel products such as reinforcing bars, iron nails, and binding wire, and textile products such as mattresses, non-glued cotton, and pillows. Familiarity with customer groups in the building materials and textile industries is required. Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the local market in Badagry and surrounding areas, including Alaba, Trade Fair, and other areas. Candidates with established local customer resources will be given priority. Cross-Border Trade Capability: Familiarity with border clearance procedures and relevant trade regulations between Nigeria and Benin, with the ability to assist customers in coordinating customs clearance issues related to cross-border self-pickup transactions. This is an added advantage. Management Skills: Experience: in building a team from 0 to 1, with the ability to independently handle interviews, training, performance evaluations, and the day-to-day management of a sales team. Comprehensive Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to use it as a working language; proficient in Yoruba; French is an added advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to download and use DingTalk on a mobile phone. Excellent business negotiation, market analysis, and data review and analysis skills are required.
