The Gateway Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the logistics gateway, ensuring the efficient receipt, sorting, dispatch, and movement of shipments. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Monitor shipment movement and promptly escalate operational issues or delays. Coordinate with hubs, branches, fleet teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless shipment movement. Ensure all operational processes comply with company standards and service level agreements (SLAs). Ensure accurate sorting, scanning, loading, and dispatch of shipments within agreed timelines. Supervise daily gateway operations, including inbound and outbound shipment processing. Team Leadership: Identify training needs and support staff development initiatives. Conduct regular team briefings and ensure adherence to operational procedures. Promote a positive, disciplined, and safety-conscious work environment. Supervise and coordinate the activities of gateway staff. Assign duties and monitor staff productivity and performance. Inventory & Asset Management: Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of shipment discrepancies, damages, or losses. Monitor and account for all shipments, equipment, and operational assets within the gateway. Maintain proper records of operational activities and stock levels where applicable. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to quality control and risk management processes. Conduct routine inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Report incidents, accidents, and security breaches promptly. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and security procedures. Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Support management in implementing operational excellence initiatives. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Monitor operational KPIs such as dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, shipment integrity, and productivity. Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Compliance with operational and safety standards. On-time shipment dispatch rate. Staff productivity and attendance. Qualifications & Experience: Experience: with logistics management systems and shipment tracking platforms is an advantage.
