We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Project Control Engineer Location : Victoria Island, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Purpose/Objectives To oversee the effective implementation of project controls processes by applying standardized systems, frameworks, tools, and methodologies to plan, monitor, control, and report on project scope, schedule, cost, and risk throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful project delivery across the organization. Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor actual versus planned progress, identify deviations from established plans, analyse trends, critical paths, and overall schedule. Liaise with Project Managers in the management of change orders and scope variation on all projects. Prepare departmental reports, dashboards and presentations on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis as required. Develop and maintain fit-for-purpose progress measurement systems, progress reports, cost reports (using EVM, CPI, VOWD, etc.), cost estimates, forecasts, data analytics, dashboards and other ad-hoc reports and presentations as required for all Project phases. Contribute to the development and preparation of Scopes of work, Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, Technical Bid Evaluation reports, budgets, project execution strategies, and project templates. Participate in the development of mitigation/recovery plans, forecasts, re-baselines and actions on all projects, while demonstrating full commitment to HSE and Quality standards. Ensure active participation in projects meetings / workshops, including kick-off, risk assessment, progress review, alignment, strategy and review meetings; prepare meeting minutes and monitor action logs to ensure timely execution of agreed actions. Provide guidance, direction, and specialised assistance to all stakeholders in the resolution of project controls related issues and perform other functions associated with this position as requested. Review and monitor contractors’ project controls deliverables including progress measurement systems, schedules, procedures, risk register, reports and completion certificates. Maintain and monitor projects and departmental risk register and effectively utilize SAP for financial management, contracts, procurement, vendor management and project controls activities. Develop cost and schedule estimates to support projects assessments, funding, reviews, and ad-hoc requests. Establish and maintain quality control of all appropriate project control’s plans and procedures, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), integrated plans and Level 1 – 4 schedules (P10, P50, P90), S-curves, dashboards, resource plans and look-ahead schedules. Liaise effectively with Project Leads, Discipline Engineers, Information Management (IM), Operations, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Commercial and Finance team, in appraising the overall performance of projects with respect to cost, schedule and risks. Provide clear, accurate and timely communication of project status, risks, and open actions to Project Managers and Line Manager. Complete all assigned tasks as delegated by the Line Manager or Project Manager. Coordinate all project controls related functions across the organization in line with industry best practice. Job & Main Specifications (Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience: & Other Required Details) Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques. Full commitment and dedication to advancing the Organization's interests, adhering to its policies and continuous improvement of skills and competencies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset. A minimum of 12 years’ cognate experience: in EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) projects within the Oil and Gas industry. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, with excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines and prioritize in an effective and efficient manner. Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Project planning software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Relevant professional certifications and memberships will be an added advantage. Sound commercial, financial and contractual awareness with respect to project activities and their cost implications.
