We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Finance Officer Location: Maiduguri, Borno Job type: Full-time Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibility: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, Donor and internal policies Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing of tax and statutory obligations Analyze financial data and provide insights to Finance Manager Monitor bank transactions and reconcile bank statements Support in budgeting and forecasting process Other Responsibilities: as assigned by the Line supervisor. Contribute to financial risk management strategies. Process accounts payable and receivable Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Assist in internal and external audits. Requirements: Minimum of 3 Years experience: in finance or any related field. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, especially Quick book and Excel. Strong finance and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and support sound financial decisions. Demonstrated attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently. Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an advantage. Effective communication skills for collaborating with program teams, management, and external stakeholders. Own a working laptop. Competence in preparing and reviewing financial statements and financial reporting in a structured, compliant manner. Experience: working with nonprofit or project-based funding environments is beneficial. Desirable skills: Interpersonal Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships and maintaining effective communication with diverse community groups and stakeholders. A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action in a timely manner Organizational Competence: Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
