Underwriting & Risk Management: Oversee the review and analysis of all risks submitted for placement, ensuring appropriate underwriting standards are applied. Claims Management: Provide strategic oversight of the claims management process, from notification to settlement. Client Relations & Business Development: Partner with the marketing and business development teams to provide technical input in winning new business. Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Ensure the Technical division operates in full compliance with NAICOM regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Requirements: Education: Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII, UK) is a strong advantage. MBA or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is an added advantage. Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field (minimum Second Class Upper). Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) — mandatory. Experience: Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams in a brokerage or insurance company setting. Minimum of 3 years of experience: in the insurance industry. Strong track record in risk placement, reinsurance structuring, and claims negotiation. Experience: working with Nigerian and international insurance/reinsurance markets. Proven expertise across multiple lines of business (life, non-life, oil & gas, marine, engineering, aviation, etc.).
