We are looking to engage a smart, reliable, and driven lawyer to serve as an HR & Legal Officer. This role is ideal for a qualified legal professional who wants to leverage their legal foundation to drive human resource management, labor compliance, and core administrative operations. The successful candidate will oversee employee relations, employment contracts, policy formulation, and legal compliance, while managing general HR operations. You should be comfortable working with minimal supervision, possess strong drafting and organizational skills, and display exceptional discretion when handling sensitive workforce and legal matters. Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and update of legal agreements and other legal documentation. Manage end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, etc. Provide executive and administrative support. Do HR reporting, documentation, and task tracking. Requirements: LL.B and B.L. (must be a qualified lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar). Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) at both University and Law School. Minimum of 2 years Post-NYSC experience: in legal practice, HR, or a combined corporate role. Strong legal drafting skills with a clear understanding of Nigerian Labor Law and HR best practices. Ability to work independently, exercise high discretion, and manage sensitive personnel information. Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general HR/document management tools. Preferred Attributes: Relevant HR certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI) are a distinct advantage.
