We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer, CIL Job Identification: 607 Location: Nigeria Key Responsibilities: Monitor site activities to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders as required. Support the supervision and coordination of civil construction activities across project sites. Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation. Conduct routine site inspections and identify construction issues, defects, or deviations for appropriate resolution. Perform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned. Assist in interpreting and reviewing engineering drawings, designs, specifications, and project documentation. Support the preparation of project updates and reports for management and project teams. Support the monitoring of project progress, materials, workmanship, and quality of construction activities. Assist in identifying potential project risks, delays, and technical issues and escalate them appropriately. Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements: on project sites. Assist with measurements, quantity take-offs, material requirements, and basic cost estimates. Skills & Competencies Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional standards. Proactive, organized, and willing to learn. 2–4 years of relevant experience: in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects. Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and technical specifications. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Experience: working with engineering drawings, specifications, measurements, and construction documentation. Practical exposure to construction site supervision and project execution. Membership of or progress toward membership of a relevant professional engineering body is an advantage.Good understanding of civil engineering and construction principles. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is an advantage. Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, quality control, and site practices. Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
