We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Scrum Master Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time What you'll do Facilitate estimation and capacity planning with the Engineering team. Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives. Help Product and Engineering build a predictable and sustainable software delivery cadence. Track sprint commitments against actual delivery. Facilitate retrospectives that result in actual process improvements. Reduce repeated sprint spillover and unfinished work. Ensure user stories have sufficient requirements: and acceptance criteria before entering a sprint. Track engineering delivery metrics including velocity, cycle time, sprint completion and blocker resolution time. Work with Product and Engineering to ensure the backlog is refined and sprint-ready. Identify and remove blockers affecting engineers. Maintain accurate delivery visibility in Jira or similar tools. Manage dependencies across Product, Engineering and other teams. This role may be for you if: You can hold Product and Engineering teams accountable without becoming their line manager. You understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and how work moves from requirements: → development → QA/testing → release. You know when a team has an Agile problem versus a requirements, capacity or engineering problem. You are highly proficient with Jira or similar engineering delivery tools. You use data to understand why delivery is slowing down rather than simply scheduling more meetings. You have 5+ years of relevant experience, with significant experience: working directly with software development teams. You understand backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, story points, sprint capacity, velocity, dependencies and technical debt. You have previously served as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead for engineers.
