We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Head of School Location: Benin, Edo Employment Type: Full-time Job Description / Responsibilities: Represent the school at meetings, events, and other professional engagements. Ensure effective implementation of the school curriculum and academic programmes. Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and regulations. Oversee the academic, administrative, and operational activities of the school. Manage school resources effectively and promote a safe, positive, and conducive learning environment. Lead staff meetings, training, appraisals, and professional development programmes. Develop and implement school policies, procedures, and improvement plans. Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, management, and other stakeholders. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the school. Monitor students’ academic performance, discipline, welfare, and overall development. Supervise teachers and support staff and monitor their performance. Requirements: Education: Relevant teaching/ education: certification is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Education: or a relevant field. Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Management, or a related field is an advantage. Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or administrative role. Previous experience: as a Head Teacher, Vice Principal, Coordinator, or Head of Department is an advantage. Proven experience: in school administration, staff supervision, and academic management. Skills: Good knowledge of school management and curriculum development. Strong understanding of child safeguarding and student welfare. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong administrative and organizational abilities. Ability to motivate and supervise staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Other Requirements: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the school’s location. Must be proactive, organized, and capable of working under pressure. Must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, leadership, and commitment to educational excellence. Must be willing to participate in school activities and events.
