We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accounts Payable Officer Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Department: Administration Job Summary We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Ikoyi, Lagos. Key Responsibilities: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency. Process invoices within 24 hours and ensure payments are completed within agreed timelines. Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports. Record and reconcile transactions using Excel and/or ERP systems. Maintain organized physical and electronic records of processed invoices. Monitor essential service payments to prevent disruption of services. Respond to vendor payment enquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships. Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager/Unit Head. Verify approvals, supporting documentation, invoice amounts, and compliance with the approval matrix. Follow up with business units on outstanding vendor payments. Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents. Resolve invoice and vendor discrepancies promptly. Reconcile vendor payments and maintain proper financial records. Follow up on outstanding IOUs and ensure timely settlement. Ensure there is no duplication or overstatement of invoices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor payable records. What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage. Good knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliation, vendor management, and financial documentation. Ability to work with deadlines and effectively manage multiple transactions. Candidates with relevant experience: in Accounts Payable, Finance, Accounting, or Administration.
