The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, inspections. Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Port Harcourt & Rivers State, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Perform routine servicing, inspection, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks, vans, buses, pickups, and other fleet vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and engine-related faults. Carry out oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, lubrication, and other scheduled maintenance. Inspect engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering systems, braking systems, and cooling systems. Troubleshoot diesel engine performance issues and identify the root causes of faults. Perform repairs and replacements on defective vehicle components and parts. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential safety and maintenance issues. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electronic faults. Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, servicing, and parts replaced. Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and provide roadside or emergency repairs when required. Ensure vehicles are properly serviced and maintained according to manufacturer recommendations. Monitor the condition and performance of fleet vehicles and recommend major repairs or replacements when necessary. Maintain proper use and care of workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic machines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment. Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and relevant vehicle regulations. Coordinate with the Fleet/Transport Manager regarding vehicle maintenance schedules and repair priorities. Assist with sourcing and verifying appropriate spare parts where required. Perform other mechanical duties assigned by management. Requirements: Minimum of OND, Technical Certificate, Trade Test, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Motor Vehicle Mechanics. Proven years of relevant experience: in fleet maintenance or automotive repair. Proven experience: working on diesel engines and light-duty vehicles. Strong knowledge of diesel and petrol engine systems. Good knowledge of braking, transmission, suspension, steering, cooling, and electrical systems. Ability to use vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
