We are operating coal mines in Kogi and Delta States. In addition to our current operations, we have several other coal blocks under exploration in Nsukka / Udenu, Enugu State, Dekina LGA, Kogi State, and Ogbadibo LGA, Benue State. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Site Nurse Locations: Delta and Kogi Employment Type: Full-time Reporting to: HSE Manager Job Summary The role will require strong clinical judgment, effective record-keeping, and a proactive approach to employee health and wellbeing in a mining environment. Reporting to the HSE Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality on-site nursing care, responding promptly to medical emergencies and workplace incidents, and supporting the implementation of the Company's occupational health and safety standards. We are seeking a registered and experienced Nurse to provide professional medical and occupational health support across its mining operations in Kogi and Delta States. We are looking for a competent and compassionate Site Nurse who will provide effective on-site medical support, respond promptly to medical emergencies, maintain accurate health records, and promote the health and wellbeing of employees across our mining operations. The successful candidate must demonstrate sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment. Responsibilities: Administer direct care to injured, disabled, ill, or convalescent patients. Order and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients’ conditions and needs. Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment. Implement physicians’ orders, perform treatments, start IVs, administer medications, and interpret special tests. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.) Implement and develop nursing care plans Counsel patients and family members on disease prevention and health maintenance. Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s prescriptions. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients. Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice. Review and maintain medical records. Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts. Supervise the work of licensed practical nurses, nursing aides, and assistants. Educate patients about their medical conditions and treatment plans. Conduct physical exams to assess patient health needs and problems Qualifications Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. B.Sc Degree or other Diploma from a Nursing program. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills. 3+ years' post servicenursing experience. Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a large team. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times. Valid nursing licenses. Excellent knowledge of emergency care. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Responsible and compassionate. Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures. Able to work efficiently under time constraints. Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
