Over the years, Matrix Energy has grown from a modest supply and distributions operation to a fully integrated petroleum products marketing and trading company with clients and suppliers all over the world. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: Shipping Compliance Officer Job Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full Time Responsibilities: Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Integrated Management System (IMS). Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance across the organization. Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance assessments for office operations and vessels. Assist in incident investigations and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate safety drills, compliance activities, and staff awareness programs. Monitor compliance with applicable maritime regulations, industry standards, and statutory requirements. Maintain and update compliance records, risk registers, and management system documentation. Support vessel readiness for regulatory, statutory, and customer inspections. Monitor crew certification and competency compliance. Analyze inspection findings and compliance trends and prepare periodic management reports. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance operational safety, quality, environmental performance, and continuous improvement. Participate in emergency response activities as required.
