The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across Information Technology, Software Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Digital Banking Platforms, Core Banking Systems, IT Governance, and Enterprise Architecture. This role is responsible for ensuring that the Bank's technology environment remains secure, scalable, highly available, and fully compliant with regulatory requirements: while enabling business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation: Advise Executive Management on strategic technology investments and modernization initiatives. Develop long-term technology roadmaps supporting business growth and innovation. Develop and execute the Bank's enterprise technology strategy aligned with corporate objectives. Drive digital transformation initiatives that improve customer experience: and operational efficiency. Software Engineering, DevOps & Technology Delivery: Promote Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps methodologies across technology teams. Provide strategic oversight for software engineering and application development teams. Oversee application lifecycle management from design through deployment and production support. Lead DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and automated deployments. Establish software development governance, coding standards, and release management processes. Ensure high software quality through automation, testing, and continuous integration practices. Core Banking & Enterprise Applications: Ensure seamless integration between internal systems and external service providers including NIBSS, payment gateways, card processors, and third-party APIs. Oversee the administration, optimization, and performance of the Bank's Core Banking Application and related platforms. Support implementation of new banking products and digital services. Manage enterprise applications including CRM, ERP, HRMS, document management systems, and productivity platforms. Infrastructure, Cloud & Network Management: Manage cloud services on Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise infrastructure including cloud environments, servers, storage, virtualization, and networking. Oversee endpoint management, enterprise networking, VPNs, firewalls, and identity management solutions. Ensure high availability, scalability, redundancy, and performance across technology platforms. Cyber security & Information Security: Manage Security Operations, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Security Ensure compliance with cyber security regulations issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NDPA, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001 standards. Develop and implement enterprise cyber security strategies that protect the Bank'sdigital assets. Develop Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans and conduct periodic testing. Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). Lead vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, threat intelligence, and incident response activities. Digital Banking & Payment Technology: Ensure high availability and continuous improvement of customer-facing digital channels. Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Business teams to deliver innovative banking solutions. Provide strategic oversight for Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Agency Banking, POS, USSD, and payment platforms. Support Open Banking initiatives and API integrations. IT Governance, Risk & Compliance: Maintain enterprise technology policies, standards, and procedures. Develop and maintain enterprise IT governance frameworks. Lead technology risk assessments and remediation initiatives. Coordinate IT audits and regulatory examinations. Ensure compliance with CBN Guidelines, NDPA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and other applicable regulations. IT Service Management: Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Lead IT operations, helpdesk services, incident management, problem management, and change management. Improve IT service delivery using ITIL best practices. Leadership & People Management: Administrators, Cyber security Analysts, QA Engineers, and IT Support personnel. Drive succession planning and capability development within the Technology function. Qualifications Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is an added advantage. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience: in Information Technology. Proven experience: managing enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, cyber security, software engineering, DevOps, and digital banking technologies. Demonstrated experience: leading enterprise technology transformation initiatives. At least 5 years in a senior leadership position within Banking, Fintech, Financial Services, or another highly regulated industry.
